The End of the Moon Pack.

Cleo's POV

I woke up like every morning, the smell of chocolate filled the air. "Come downstairs, breakfast is done!" My father yelled. Being the Alphas' daughter really sucked sometimes. I groaned as I got up and I snapped my fingers to have a cute outfit appear on me. My long brown curls hung over my white tank top and down to my leggings. I wasn't fat, but I wasn't skinny. Being a hybrid of an Alpha and a mother coven witch made me pretty muscular. I put my curls into a messy bun as I admired my churns and edges one more time before portaging downstairs and into the kitchen. When I arrived, a new maid almost dropped a glass plate. I caught it and smiled, "sorry I didn't mean to scare you." I said and the girl smiled, she was small. Maybe 5'2, with dirty blond hair thrown into a bun, she had on our uniform, it was black leggings with a purple shirt. My mother didn't believe in the whole girls' uniforms should be dressed and boys should wear pants and shirts. "Cleo!" My mother hissed at me, "what did I say about portaling around the castle while we hire new people?" I sighed. I smiled at my mother as she was wearing a beautiful purple floor-length dress with black lace around the top. Her brown hair was in a long braid. "You look beautiful mother." I said and she rolled her eyes, "flattery will get you nowhere." she said, and I heard my father chuckle. He was sitting at the head of the table like always in a black suit, he was showing Aj my little brother how to cut his steak ''like an alpha should.'' I always rolled my eyes at this, my mother shot him a warning glare. He smiled, "what? Flattery is what got us these two beautiful children." he said, festering towards me and AJ. "ewwww" Aj said, pushing away his plate. We all laughed, my father was getting old, I was going to take over the pack soon. When I turned 18 in a week, my father would up my training and send me on more missions to meet the neighboring packs. As I took my seat at the table, my mother made food appear before me on a plate. I licked my lips, "eggs, and bacon! Yummy." I said as I dug in. "Cleo, are you excited about finding your mate?" my mother asked and my father let out a low growl. I rolled my eyes. "I don't know I'm really into training right now, being Alpha is important to me and I don't need a mate trying to take over." I said and she sighed, "it's always the same with you dear. That's not how mates work, they build you up, not take over." I shrugged, "you always take over our pack when dad annoys you." My father chuckled at this, "that is different, it's friendly and, besides, he takes over my coven from time to time." I laughed as my mother was scooped up off her feet and into my fathers lap. They nuzzled their noses and smiled. I love how much they loved each other. Suddenly, a nasty smell hit my nose. I growled, making the table shake. "Oger." I said as I ran outside. My mother took Aj and went into his hiding place for him. My father followed me outside and my mother soon joined us. We looked down the hill our pack house was on and saw 6 ogers coming our way. I smirked, "I could take these down in my sleep." My parents chuckled, "all yours Angel." my father said, bowing towards the ogers. I smiled. I loved that my parents trusted me enough to fight a pack of ogers. I closed my eyes and focused. "Porous Ignis!" I yelled as I held my hands up to the ogers. A rain of fire descended upon them. They started melting as the fire touched them. If a Ogers skin comes into contact with fire, their skin will melt and eventually they will die a slow death as it slowly eats away at their skin. Those are the words my mother told me when teaching me about monsters. Ogers are slow and mean. They eat any creature they can get their hands on. It doesn't matter if it's a child or a mother, as long as they are alive Ogers will eat them. Ogers also had this horrible stench to them so you could tell when they were coming. I watched as the Ogers retreated into the woods. "I'll have some of my pupils perform an ash turning spell so the wind can sweep their bodies away." My mother said and my father smiled as he clapped me on the back, "you are the strongest woman I have even met." he quickly added, "besides your mother I mean." I chuckled as my mother was pulled into a kiss by my father, "oh dear that reminds me, Cleo I need you to travel to the fairies demention to grab me some dragon root, I need it for a class I'm teaching." I chuckled, "really or do you just want me to meet the fairy queen since were neighbors with them?" She smiled, "both." I chuckled, "sure, let me go get dressed and finished breakfast." As I head inside I hear my mother giggling, "Aj you can come out it's safe" I said over mind link. Suddenly, I heard a loud whoosh it was Aj sprinting out of his hidden cellar. "Did you kick some butt?" he asked excitedly. I smiled, "yes I did, now I have to go on a journey to the fairy realm. Would you like to go with me?" I asked and he jumped up and down in joy. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" He squealed. I heard my mother clear her throat behind us, "Aj has to go to class today, they are learning transformative magic. Very important." She said, and he sighed. I turned towards my mother, "can't you teach him?" I asked and she shook her head, "no I don't have time now. Go get ready. You leave in 10." I sighed as I teleported to my room. I threw on a shirt and a jacket, I grabbed my bag that had viles. I walked downstairs this time and my mother handed me a list, "some other things we need." she said and I sighed as I looked at the list. Eye of newt, ginger, goldenseal, dragon root, melody root, moss from the silver river, and pigs feet. "Mom, this is gonna take at least 5 days to get these. This is all over the realm scattered. I can't use Magic or talk to you guys once I'm there. Are you sure you guys will be safe with me gone?" She smirked, "dear, we will be fine now. Go." I gave her a faint smile before moving my hand in a circular motion, focusing on the fairy realm until a portal in the shape of a circle appeared. "Love you darling!" My father called from across the room. I smiled. I had a feeling I shouldn't go, but my mother was pushy. "I love you guys!" I said as I hopped into the portal. I let out a sigh as I looked around. The fairy realm was beautiful, everything was shiny and sparkly and it was so peaceful. It was all woods but everything was filled with magic and friendly creatures roamed the woods. I always loved coming here. I knew where everything was and started collecting the ingredients. (5 days later) I let out a breath of relief, I had finally grabbed the last ingredient, eye of newt. I knocked on a willow tree and he shook awake, "Hey shelly, I need to get home. Can you help?" I asked. The tree shook its branches in a yes motion. Suddenly, her bark started to fall off and the tree opened, a circular portal like the one I used to get here appeared, "thank you!" As I hopped in. my jaw dropped and tears filled my eyes when I got home. Everything was gone! My pack house was on fire with the walls caving in. I saw my mother and father in the middle of the room lying on the floor, their heart ripped from their chest. "MAMA!" I yelled as I rushed over, their bodies were warm, they were just killed. "NO!" I screamed as tears fell down my cheeks. A wave of energy came out and moved a pillar to reveal Aj! He was still alive! "AJ! What happened?!" I asked and he looked at me, "mama?" He said. "No it's me Cleo!" He looked at me as if he had never seen me before. I lifted the pillar off of him, his whole body had been crushed. He was too young to survive this without help. Just then, the roof collapsed. I grabbed Aj and portaled us out of there, leaving behind my parents and my home. We appeared in a dark dining room, we were on the rug, Aj laid still barely breathing. "Hold on AJ." I said as I got into my bag and pulled out some of the remedies I had just gotten. I pulled out some ginger and goldenseal, two very strong healing remedies. I crushed them together and forced them into Aj's mouth. This helped his breathing but it still wasn't enough. "Damn it!" I roared, making the whole dining room shake. Aj looked at me with tears in his eyes, "Dad tried... to protect us... but he was... poisoned." Aj said, having to take breaks to breathe. I shook my head, "shh save your strength." There was only one thing that could help him. "AJ listen, I may pass out for a little but don't get worried, I will be fine, okay?" He nodded. "I'm sorry mama." I mumbled. I had to use some of my life force and transfer it into Aj. It was black magic. It would make me weak and pass out, but when I awaken I should be fully recharged. I stretched my claws out and plunged them into my chest surrounding my heart, I put my other hand on Aj's heart. "Translatio" I said, and I could feel the life forced being drained from me. I saw Aj healing and his breathing got better. Once I became too weak to transfer anymore, I fell to the ground and with my reaming strength I cast a protection barrier around Aj before darkness consumed me. When I woke up, I was in a huge bed covered in the finest silky sheets I had ever seen. I never had anything like this back home. Suddenly, flashes of home filled my mind and my tears filled my eyes. I shook them away once I remembered Aj. I wasn't chained or anything, so I got up off the bed and looked around. The room I was in was clearly a master bedroom, with blackout curtains and black sheets. "Damn, are they depressed or something?" I mumbled to myself. That's when I saw it. It was a portrait of two twin brothers who I instantly recognized. Alpha Alex and Alpha Max. Were we on their land?! They hated trespassers and killed anyone who set foot on their land without their permission. Why was I still alive? Was AJ still alive? Panic started to fill my chest. I tried to mind link him, nothing! AJ! AJ! Are you okay?! I said, but still no response. I turned towards the door and pushed it open with my magic. I still felt a little weak. I started sniffing until I caught his scent. I followed it until it got stronger, suddenly an amazing smell caught my nose. It smelled like Brownies and Carmel. That's when my wolf spoke in my head, Mates! she squealed. Ugh, I could not think about that right now. I followed Aj's scent and the scent of my mates was getting closer too. I shook my head, I burst into a room to find Aj in the middle of eating a sandwich with a small looking maid beside him. She squeaked at my intrusion. I growled at her and it shook the whole room. She quickly backed away and scurried off. "AJ!" I said as he ran into my arms. "Thank god your safe. Are you hurt?! Did they do anything?!" He shook his head. "The two nice men asked me about our home. I told them what happened and they helped heal you! They also gave me food!" He said, pointing to his sandwich. "Who?" I asked. "They said their names were Alpha Alex and dax." My jaw dropped, "Max?" I asked and he nodded. "What the hell?" I mumbled to myself. Suddenly, the scents of my mates had gotten really strong, they were coming towards me. I put AJ behind me as I faced the door. I had my claws out ready to fight my mates if they dared to lay a hand on AJ. The protection barrier around Aj was still active.When the doors busted open my jaw dropped when I saw who my mates were. Alpha Alex and Alpha Max were at the door looking at me like I was a drop of water and they had been in the desert for weeks. Is that why they protected AJ? A smile formed on their lips, "I knew there was a reason we wanted to protect her." Alpha Max said. His brother smirked. "Alpha Alex! Alpha Max!" Aj squealed as he ran past me and into the Alphas' arms. They were laughing and smiling. Was everything about them I heard wrong? I stood there dumbfounded, not sure what to do. "Cleo right?" Alpha Max asked. I slowly nodded. My wolf wanted me to run straight into her arms. "We heard about your pack, were sorry." He said and his brother said he was sorry too. Tears swelled in my eyes and my wolf was howling for them to comfort me. But I wasn't ready. I quickly turned away.

Alex's POV

Me and my brother had been woken up in the middle of the night due to an intrusion. I grumbled as I threw on some clothes and followed the guards to where they said the intruder was. I was suprised to find out it was in the dining room and even more suprised to find a girl and a little boy on the floor. The girl was passed out and bleeding from what looked like a transfusion spell. The little boy was sitting up and holding back tears, "please help my sister" he said, holding back tears. This kid couldn't have been more than 7 years old. Me and Max slowly approached them, he had a protection spell around him. I squatted down to his level as I spoke to him. "My name is Alpha Alex of the ice pack, what's yours?" I asked and he was silent, "Sissy told me never tell a stranger anything about me." I smiled, his sister was smart. "I need to know who you are so I know what to call you? What's your sister's name?" My tone was soft and then the little boy started to cry. Normally, I would have snapped the intruder's neck and went back to bed but something tugged at me. Like I had to protect this little boy and his sister. He was the same age as my little sister Bella. "My name is Alexander Jr but you can call me AJ, I was in the Moon pack." He said, holding back more tears. "was?" I said and he started sobbing, "sissy was gone in the fairy. relm, I tried to call her but she couldn't hear me. Bad men came into our home, they burned our home and killed my parents. A pillar fell on me!" He cried, "sissy saved me but my home is gone!" "Wait, did you say the moon pack?" I asked and he nodded. "Wait, is this Cleo the heartless?" I said, pointing to his sister. Cleo the heartless was this bada** hybrid, her mother was a coven mother and her father an Alpha. She had taken down more monsters than me and Max combined. She was a total Bada**. I would hate to be on her bad side. Ever! But looking at her so weak and fragile made my heart hurt. I wanted to protect her at all costs and I didn't know why. I looked at my brother, who clearly felt the same way. I scooped Cleo up in my arms and carried her to the infirmary. Her brother and mine were close behind. I laid her on the bed and called for a doctor. I let the doctors get to work and I moved her brother to a different room and he explained what had happened. My heart hurt for the kid. He was so young. I went back to bed in a guest room and gave Cleo my bed after she was given the all clear from the doctor. I just tossed and turned. Aj had fallen asleep crying on my shoulder. Poor kid was all I kept thinking. Why did I want to protect Cleo so badly? Normally I didn't care. I mind linked Max. "Hey you up?" I asked and he replied, "yeah I can't stop thinking about Cleo, why is she so mesmerizing? And that poor kid." I sighed. "Hopefully, we can get more answers in the morning." I closed my eyes and waited for sleep to take me, when I woke up it was to this loud thud. Like doors being slammed open, I heard a growl that shook the entire room. I quickly hopped out of bed and that's when it hit me this amazing mouth watering smell. It smelled like cinnamon and chocolate. My wolf jumped awake, Mate! was all he said, he was getting excited. I ran out of my room and followed the scent of my brother right behind me. He smelled her too. It was leading us to the room where we left Aj. When we burst open the door, we found the source of that amazing smell. It was Cleo! She stood with her brother behind her growling, she stopped and just looked at us. Her brother came rushing at us and we scopped him up in our arms and tickled him. He was an adorable child. Max had spoken up and confirmed her name was Cleo. We just looked at her with such amazement. Our mate was Cleo the heartless! I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face. She looked at us confused. Did she expect us to be horrible towards her? She was our mate! I just started at her in awe. "So I guess we should talk," she said. Her brother climbed off of Max's shoulders and ran to his sister's side. He clung to her like she was his life resource, "please don't leave me." He said, tears filling up his eyes, Cleo's face fell and I could tell she was holding back tears. She looked beautiful. Her long brown curls fell behind her shoulders and her clothes were bloody and ripped. She had this sexy body that I just wanted to grab and claim as mine. Now was not the time for those thoughts! Cleo bent down and looked at Aj and she smiled, "I will never leave you but I have to have a private conversation with them." "Please, Sissy no!" He said and he sighed, "I'm sorry" she said as she snapped her fingers and Aj sluped over in her arms and started snoring. She gently laid him on the couch and found a blanket to cover him up with. She looked at me and Max and looked nervous. I couldn't help but smirk.

Cleo's POV

I stood there staring at my mates, the twin Alphas. I had to put a sleeping spell on Aj so I could talk to them. I felt a pang of guilt but pushed it away. I walked towards them and they led the way to the room I was previously in. I'm guessing it's Alex's room. It smelled like him. They closed the door the best they could, my magic threw it off it's hinges. "Sorry" I said quietly, Alex smirked, "remind me not to piss you off", he said with a chuckle. I smirked. That's the same thing my father said to me when I made spinder crawl all over him when he was sleeping after he made me mad. Tears filled my eyes as I thought about him, concern was on the Twin's faces. I turned away to wipe my tears, I hated crying in front of people. "Cleo..." Said Alex softly, I could tell them apart easily. "Uh yeah?" I asked, still not looking at them as more tears threatened to burst through. Suddenly, a pair of big arms wrapped around me. It was warm and shot tingles up my spine. I felt safe here, it was Alex who had hugged me. Max came and kissed my forehead, "I'm so sorry for what you went through, princess." he said, and I smiled. I hated being called princess but I loved it when it came from Max. I was struggling to hold back tears, but they came through anyway, along with some choked up sobs. I hid my face and Alex spun me around and pulled me into his chest. He still had his arms wrapped around me, Max kissed the back of my head. After a moment or so, I forced myself to stop crying. I looked up at Alex and he kissed my forehead and pulled me back into his chest, "oh baby. It's okay" he said. I sniffled as I snaked my arms around him and he pulled me closer. I wanted to be closer to Max too. I pushed away from Alex and leaned against Max. I was now sandwiched between them. They felt so warm and safe, I walked to stay there forever. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to soak your shirt." I said, looking at Alex. He smiled, "it's okay baby." I smirked. They already had nicknames for me. I looked at him, taking in his features as if for the first time. He was about 6'2, towering over me. He was ripped along with Max. He had straight cheek bones and a strong jaw. He had fluffy brown curly hair, his eyes were this dark blue with a hint of silver. Max looks the same the only thing different was their scents. Alex smelled like brownies and Max smelled like caramel. I raised my hand and dried his shirt with Magic. He smiled, "that's hot" he said, and I laughed. I don't know why, but I just smiled at him. I am really mated to these two. I looked back at Max, who was smiling. "Can I ask you two a question?" They shrugged, "sure". I took a deep breath, I didn't want to upset them. "Why didn't you kill me when you found me? I was unconscious and an easy target. I know how you two are about trespassers." They were silent. Did I make them upset? My Wolf grolwed at me for asking the question. I had to know. Max spoke, "I can't really explain it but we felt this urge to protect you and we saw your brother crying, you were bleeding and once he told us what happened..." his voice trailed off. "We're not heartless. But when people trespass, it's never for a good reason, they are always trying to take someone we love and bargain their life to get what they want." Said Alex. I sighed, "don't you two have a sister?" They smiled a little, "yes her name is Bella, the same age as Aj, I believe." Said Max. "What about your parents?" I asked and they were quiet. I think I hit a nerve, I never really knew a bunch about them. "They are gone, kidnapped and killed." Said max his voice strained as if he was struggling to say. I sighed, "I'm sorry", I said, and he shrugged, clearly not wanting to talk about it anymore. I changed the subject, "I have to go check on Aj, I don't want to keep the sleeping spell on too long. He won't sleep naturally tonight." I said as I slipped out from them. An arm grabbed me and pulled me back. It was Alex. He kissed the tip of my nose and I couldn't help but smile, "hurry back Luna, we have much to discuss," he said and I smiled even more. "okay." I ruffled his hair before walking back down to the room where Aj slept soundly. I watched him sleep for a moment, he looked peaceful, not like he had just witnessed a tragedy. I let him sleep a few more moments before waking him up for the long and difficult road ahead of us.
