GETTING HELP FROM ROSE'S FAMILY

"father we've been looking for you" the voice of a man comes from the door " thank goodness you are okay, you know it is not safe out there anymore especially for an old man like you" he said while panting, obviously been running around trying to find the old man. this is Rose's husband.

"well you are not young yourself" whispers the old man "hump!!"

"Husband, come sit and have some tea" Rose said she then points to the young man saying "this is Lucas. He brought dad home "

" thank you young man, we really appreciate this" Rose's husband said while extending his hands to Lucas.

they shook hands and the old man pointed out " Lucas has done a good deed indeed" he remembers that he was the only one that helped him the time he falls and couldn't get back up himself and he had helped him home with word of concern. he continues " you should show more gratitude than a thank you" the old man grumbles.

"well I don't know if the young man will have any requests" after thinking for a bit Rose husband asked Lucas.

"emm..." Lucas wanted to say nothing but then he remembers that he needs a job right now and the old man already said the man was in charge of two factories so " I guess it will be easier to get a job with his help" he thinks and then said

" sir I need a job right now to care for my family" he asked while thinking of Celine and her mother " old sir here said you are in charge of two factories. don't worry I can work really hard" he said trying to convince Rose's husband

"he has a noble aura of some sort on him even though he is trying to ask for something or am I mistaken" Rose's husband was still thinking and in awe when the old man simply interrupted him

" don't tell me you want to go back on your words, look at this young man he is honest, he is strong and young, he is not bad." the man said thinking his son in law is just too indecisive or about to go back on his work

"Dad you know how this works, to employ someone we need a letter of recommendation from their village head, his household registration must be legit and he also needs a guarantor at least two or one with a very big credibility... " he said as he turned to Lucas at the end of his statement

Lucas looking trouble at this statement, finding that he lacks all these things. well, not all if Dr Alain will stand in for him but the village head of silverpeak village didn't even know he is currently staying in the village if he knew he will be chased out not to talk of household registration.

while thinking of this he has this cold, and noble aura which scares Rose's husband a little as he has dealings with some big shots, this man aura is more noble and more powerful than those so called big shot.

He stammered a little before gaining back his momentum "well just bring in a letter of recommendation from your village head and we will find you a post..." he didn't finish because he saw the young man's frown face. he looked at him to get answers

" can't you recommend me?" Lucas asked with a little bit of elegance that only known to Rose's husband. seeing that this put Rose's husband in a difficult situation he decided to tell him why he wants him to recommend him he said " well, you see I'm not from around here, I came from the city and I was robbed of my property now I need money, I came to visit my fiancé but got robbed, I don't really want to impose on them so much, so I have to get a job and save some money to go back to the city..."

after he was done Rose's husband had a look of I knew it then a hint of pity but didn't show it much because he knows a man like Lucas doesn't need pity and he also has a respect for Lucas while Rose has pity in her eyes and her motherly instinct kicks in she openly expressed her sympathy but still waiting for her husband to come to a decision.

seeing this Lucas continues " I'm currently staying with a distant uncle".

under the gaze of his wife Rose's husband replied " since that is the case you can just bring your uncle as a guarantor we will help with the rest also you will need to bring an ID card to document your identity I have someone that can do that for you".

Lucas smiled gratefully and said "thank you so much Mr..?"

" Fernand, that is the name " Rose's husband said

"thank you so much Mr Fernand, I really need to go now my uncle will be expecting me by now," Lucas said while standing up

" you can bring your uncle with you tomorrow for the ID and sign the form for work, if all go smoothly you can start work tomorrow or the next" Mr Fernand said as he stands up to see the guess out

when they reach the front yard Lucas turns and says to Rose " you can consider letting the old man use this small place to farm it won't be too strenuous nor will he be bored"

Rose said while grinning" yes, sure it's a good idea, oh wait here I'm coming " she went into the house and brought some cookies and fruit in a paper bag, putting it in Lucas hands before he could reject it " take it, you did save my Dad"

biding farewell to the Fernand family he left journeying to the hospital to look for Dr Alain.
