My anxiety took over as our little convoy pulled through the gated entrance of the Twilight Springs territory. I bounced my leg nervously, praying to the Moon Goddess that everything would go well. I felt a warm hand on my thigh, just above my knee, and looked over to see Sawyer smiling gently at me.
“Um…” Of course my brain decided to fail me now when it came to words. His hand was so warm. Even better - or worse, I wasn’t sure - it was oddly comforting. He quickly jerked his hand back at my hesitation.
