Ember “Wake up bitch.” A gruff voice demanded as cold water splashed my face. I sputtered, confused and furious all at once. I reached up to wipe the water away, but my hands jerked, unable to move. Startled, I struggled to open my eyes. Everything was hazy and it took me a minute to focus.
