I sing along voraciously to the lyrics of the birthday song. I look down at my bundle of joy in my arms. She looks like she doesn't understand what all the hullabaloo is all about but her smiles tell me she is infected by the vibes of happiness.
On my left is Emery, my mother, then Nicole, Ella and Abhishek, her husband, my dad, his wife and my half brother, Ken, my mum's husband, then some of my family members. Then there's some of my husband's family members followed by Caleb and his wife, Elliot, his Grandma, Ana and Jack, her husband, Raymond, and Cornelia.
Finally on my very right is my husband, the man who has been with me all these years. Together, we all form a circle around a mini circle consisting of the friends and cousins
