KIARA'S P.O.V
The two drunken men looked back snickering as they stood up. I could make out a huge, masculine and sinfully handsome looking man looking at me with anger and concern: mostly concern.
I quickly stood up wearing my pants properly as I stood up. Shivers ran down my spines as I looked at him, he was sending out a powerful aura and I wanted him to touch me.
I shook my head at the pervert thoughts running in my head now. He looked too good to be real and I wanted to rub my hands through his beautiful locks.
“Stop staring at her like that, she's ours for the night, you can have her when we are done with her.” The shorter one among the two men said, throwing out a thick mucus from his mouth that was very disgusting to see.
The tall man didn't say anything as he walked closer to me, I was distracted by how handsome he looked and the shivers that were running through my body now.
He has effects on me and it was confusing because he's a mere stranger. He pulled out his hand from his pocket stretching it out to help me up.
“Thank you very much.” I said, getting up to my feet, ignoring the electric shivers running up to my heart.
“I'm sorry.” He apologized, I wondered why he was apologizing when it wasn't his fault and he had saved me from getting r***d.
“I should be thanking you for saving me…” I was caught shut by a man approaching us. I shuddered trying to hide behind his back.
“I'm Zarek, wait here.” Zarek said, and he punched the man, removing blood out of his mouth that made me cringe.
He continued punching him repeatedly, each blow more deadly than the previous . I had to rush towards him holding him by his waist and he stilled immediately.
“Please don't kill him. It's a crime and I don't want you to go to jail because of me.” I cried, he turned slowly facing me and tears rolled down my eyes.
“ It's fine, I won't hit him again if you don't me to. Let's get you home safely.” Zarek said, I nodded leaving him immediately as my embarrassment washed over me.
I refused to take his hand politely as I didn't want him to feel the shivers that were running down my vein.
I felt a sharp pain on my arm and I looked at it immediately to see a knife stuck in my hand. A man was grinning from ear to ear, I fell face down to the floor as I got dizzy.
Zarek growled out an animalistic growl, helping me up with his pupils drifting from green to red. That was supposed to be scary but I was captivated by it.
He rushed for the man, furs erupting all over his body, long claws with his speed inhumane.
I was utterly terrified by him already, he grabbed the man that stabbed by his neck biting down and pulling away immediately.
Blood stained his mouth, the man coughed out blood and he threw him down like he was nothing.
I shrieked out in terror, I staggered to my feet as he approached me. His animalistic vanishing as he looked at me with an emotion I couldn't read.
“Stay away from me you murderer. I hate you so much, why would you kill him?” I shouted, walking backwards away from him.
“I couldn't let him stab what's mine and get away with it. You are mine to protect and love.” He said, gently. I ignored the shivers I was getting from him, focusing on the fact that he just killed someone and I might be next.
“I'm not yours, you don't even know me. And I don't want to know a beast like you. Get away from me.” I screamed, running off clutching my bag tightly as I ran down to my house hoping he won't follow me home.
I looked back to see him still standing watching me with a hurt expression on his face, I cared less as he didn't deserve pity for taking a life.
I stopped a cab immediately, I let out my breath as I got into the safety of the car. I was shivering with fear as I couldn't believe I was with a beast that would have killed me.
“Ma'am, we are at your destination since the past five minutes. Are you okay?” The driver asked, he was an elderly man and I could tell he was just being concerned.
“Yes. I'm sorry for that.” I said, giving him his fee as I stepped out.
“He's not what you think he is. And be careful Kiara, stay guarded.” The driver said, smiling before he drive away leaving me stunned at his words.
“Why are you standing there looking like a fool that you are?” Aunt ArabIelle's thin annoying voice, brought me back to life.
“I'm sorry Aunt.” I said, turning immediately as I opened the front door. She was sitting on the sofa looking at me, I shuddered at the thought of him opening the door now.
“Did you get the job or did you fail like you were supposed to?” She asked. Looking at me with venomous glare, i smiled knowing I was going to spite her with the news.
“I got the job Aunt, I didn't fail like you think I would. And here's my pay for the day.” I said, bringing out half of my pay because I will not show them all.
“ Give me that money now, and don't think I would be happy, because I'm sure you are into prostitution now.” She said, smiling hoping her words would crush me.
“Okay Aunt.” I smiled, handing the money to er. She looked at me suspiciously, I was sure that my smile was unsettling to her.
“I will be in my room, I'm tired.” I said, going up the stairs. I was terrified to go into my room, so I opened my room's door.
“Finally.” I heard and I saw something leave my room through the window immediately.
