I was up early. It was still dark outside. I was starting to feel my nerves now, but I had to keep calm and focus.
I grabbed a banana off the table as I walked through the dining hall. I had to eat something to keep the energy up. May was waiting at the top of the stairs for me.
"Ready?" she asked.
"Yeah, I think so," I laughed off.
We headed down to the field to join some of the others waiting. It wasn't long until there was a group of 10 ready to go.
A gruff looking man came across to us.
"Good morning, potentials. My name is Ruben. The trial will be starting in 10 minutes, so let's make this quick. It works in stages. You fail a task you're out and done for the day. We have a medic nearby if needed. The tests will be composed of agility, strength, logic, comradory, and endurance.
