I walked into the house after I had dried off
"Hey," I called out as I walked past the sitting room.
"Where have you been all day? Hopefully, keeping out of trouble?" Mum laughed
"Yeah. I was just restless, so I needed to get out for a bit. I'm just going to have a shower, and I'll come back, " I said
I quickly walked to my bedroom and had a shower to wash away any remaining evidence of last night. I felt better afterwards..
After I got changed, I made Mum and I a tea and went and sat with her.
"How are you feeling?" I asked
"Like I could go back to work tonight," Mum stated
I looked at her with a disapproving look
"They won't let me back until next week anyway so you can relax, my love. How are you?" she asked
