Ellie POV
I gave Mum a huge hug goodbye. It was still dark out as I was getting ready to leave with Aunty Viv. Mum was going to sort out my transfers, and Viv apparently had it all sorted on her end.
I hopped in the car and we drove off. I was blinking back a few tears, and the nerves were setting in.
"Get some rest, Ellie, you've had a big night, and we have a long drive," Viv gently said.
I lay my seat down a bit and used my jumper rolled up as a pillow. Luckily, the shift was exhausting as I managed to drift off without much of a fight.
"Ellie, wake up, sweetheart. We need to get something to eat. "
I slowly stretched out before I opened my eyes. I did feel so much better after the nap. I looked out the window and saw we were at a small cafe.
