Chapter 11

1056 Words
Beta Hogan was just walking away from the Alpha's office when his ears picked up the sound of someone running lightly to the office. He knew all the Alpha's schedule and knew no one was supposed to come to the office by this time, and even if anyone would, he or she wasn't supposed to be running. So, the only werewolf that came to his head was Sassy. He went back to the door and caught Sassy just as she was also just getting to the door. "Not so fast." He said as he held her and covered her mouth with his hands to prevent Alpha Murphy from hearing her voice. "I need to see him," Sassy said, with muffled screams. "I already told you he isn't coming down. Please leave." Beta Hogan said looking distressed. He could see his day was about to become rough. Sassy was finally able to fight him off and remove his hand from her mouth. "Let go of me." She said, glaring at him. Beta Hogan looked hopeless. "I'll try to convince him to come see you again, but please you can't go in." He said. "I can't trust your words. I want to see him myself, I'm not depending on you." Sassy fired back. "I promise, I will. Please just wait in the hallway. I'll get him out in no time." Beta Hogan said. Sassy didn't trust his words, but she had to give in. He walked her back to the hallway, before going back to the Alpha's office. Alpha Murphy looked tensed up. His wolf had become super excited as Sassy had just been outside his door. "Why did you let her come here?" He asked Beta Hogan. "I stopped her as soon as I noticed." Beta Hogan said. "Your best wasn't enough. She's already triggering my wolf." He said and held the table to support himself. "Then, go see her. Your wolf knows you want to see her. Why are you denying yourself that?" Beta Hogan asked. "I am going to reject her. She can't keep doing this to me." "Doing what?" Beta Hogan asked and Alpha Murphy glared at him. "Bring her here." Alpha Murphy said and Beta Hogan heaved a sigh of relief. "Now?" He asked. "Of course. Let's get this done with." Alpha Murphy said. Beta Hogan left the office and came back a few minutes later, with Sassy. "You finally swallowed your pride, huh?" Sassy asked as soon as she got in. Alpha Murphy smirked and turned to Beta Hogan. "Please, give us a minute. I'd like to speak to my mate in private." He said, sounding mischievous. Beta Hogan just bowed and left. "I wonder why my mate wants to see me, so badly." He remarked. "You and I know we can never be together, Murphy," Sassy said. "You should add some respect to my name. I am the Alpha of the pack, and you're...uh... nothing? Or less than nothing." He said. Sassy laughed at his stupidity. "Look Murphy, I'm no longer a kid. All your stupid jokes don't get to me anymore." "Oh?" Alpha Murphy asked and stood up. He noticed how calm his wolf had become. He walked closer to Sassy and sniffed her hair. "You kinda smell nice." He whispered into her ears, and she pushed him away. "Stay away from me, you freak." She said and Alpha Murphy laughed again. "Well, this freak is your mate. Deal with it." He said and his laughter faded into a frown. "You're scared you'd fall in love with me, huh?" He asked. "Ewww. Fall in love with you? And who do you think you are? I'd rather have no mate than fall in love with you. You're overestimating yourself, Murphy. You're way below my standards." Sassy said. "You're not up to anyone's standards yourself. I have so many shewolves and human girls scrambling to get my attention, that I can't possibly waste any time with you. What do you even want? Why are you here? Please speak, I'm a very busy werewolf. Alpha Murphy said. Sassy got up and raised her shirt to show him her bruised body. He looked confused and shocked at the same time. "Why are you showing this to me?" He asked. "You did all this to me," Sassy said. "How?" "Each time you mate with anyone, this happens to me and it is really painful. It also doesn't heal on time, Because it was inflicted on me by my mate." Sassy said. Alpha Murphy felt somewhat embarrassed that Sassy always knew when he was mating with anyone. "So, what do I do? I can't starve myself because I don't want you to get hurt, I don't even care about you in the first place." He said. "I knew you wouldn't help. I'm only letting you know about it, just in case you start passing through the same." Sassy said with a smirk. "Are you threatening me?" Alpha Murphy asked. He couldn't imagine passing through that same pain or having his perfect body discolored because his mate wanted to satisfy her own needs. "I'm not threatening you, dear Alpha. I'm just letting you know." Sassy said. "Don't you wanna be Luna again?" Alpha Murphy asked and Sassy burst into fits of laughter. Her already bruised stomach was stressed from laughing too hard, but it was hard to stop. "Luna? Really? You and I know I would never be the Luna. I'm not interested. Even if you weren't the alpha, I'd still not be interested in being the Luna of the black knights pack. A pack I have never been welcomed into. A pack that never treated me nicely." Sassy said. "Well, keep lying to yourself. It is the dream of every she-wolf to be the Luna of the pack. And also to be with the Alpha. I get you're trying to not sound desperate, but you can come clean to me. I won't let anyone know about this." Alpha Murphy said and Sassy stood up. "I think I've overstayed my welcome here. I have passed my message across. And when you start feeling those pains, just know where they are from." She said and walked towards the door. "I'm not done talking, who said you could leave?" Alpha Murphy said and Sassy turned again to face him.
