Elvestopia was a popular fairy tale told to children. It was a story about how Xeronis came to possess magic.
The story goes like this: a long time ago Xeronis was an ordinary planet that had no magic. People had to rely on their strength and on technology that obeyed the laws of physics to get work done. A certain group of men, an adventuring party, discovered a paradise hidden by a cloud wall deep in a forest. The cloud was set on the ground and would act as a gate through which the paradise could be accessed.
The adventurers strolled into the paradise and were warmly welcomed by forest elves who were the inhabitants of that land. They called their land, Elvestopia.
