To start off this shithole storyomance/supernatural. Whatever you want to call it. Let's start off with my story and how it came to be, because I promise you that will be the most exciting thing happening this far, I mean beside the dead body but you know.
let's start with my name, as you can tell it sounds exactly like Gin the liquor. Thats because my mom was an acholic who loved gin and so she named me after something she loved. She put an R instead of G to not make it look suspicious. To make it look as if she wasn't an acholic. I was born in Santa Monica CA, until I turned thirteen.
Living in one of the highest crime rated cities in California didn't mix well with a mother who was an alcoholic. You know what they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. But I did. I fell so far that I landed as one of the most known detectives around the states. Different agencies always call me to come and take over their case that they couldn't solve for years. I'm not all about the fame of being a great detective, I know a lot of other detectives that are great, so I don't think I'm the best, but I do a good job at finishing things so that may be why my names known because of my work and cases I've solved in a matter of months that takes decade for others to solve.
For some odd reason I actually don't know much about my linage or my history from my mom or dads' side, every time I ask my mom if I have any other family she always turns to the alcohol as if she hiding something but it's not like I could pry it out of her because she'll just get mad, and I was a kid at the time so there wasn't much I could do. So, it was just me and her my entire life until I turned thirteen.
That's when I ran away. I was tired of the neglect and my alcoholic mother, so I ran, ran away 2,300 miles to Michigan and never looked back. Found a job and finished my schooling even went to one of the top schools for law enforcement. Michigan State University for my degree and from there on worked my way up the ladder. It was hard I tell you, but it was so worth it because now I don't have to worry about coming home and there's no food on the table or sleeping on the floor. No one cared for me... all I had was myself and that's all I'll ever need.
My love life is next to none. Since the way I've grown up I've just kind of drifted away from men. My coworkers and some of the friends I have since I'm not very sociable call me a man hater. Maybe I am, could be that my father left me when I was little and never saw or heard from him again. He just disappeared...one second, he was here with me...the next gone. Poof. Like the wind. I've asked my mom what happened to him, but she gets somewhat sad or mad when I mention him, but it could be that since she drinks so much that it messes with her emotions, so I stopped asking about him after a certain age. But at least I'm not like these other girls out here changing guys like changing clothes or having my heart broken constantly.
My whole goal or reason in becoming a detective was to find the reason as to why my father left or why he just disappeared, when I first became a cop, I searched my name and my mothers in the data bases but weirdly nothing came up. When I say nothing, I mean it was just my name and my date of birth along with where I went to school and other useless things but no other family or even anything about my father. Other reason was to show my dead-beat mom that I made something out of my life. Not her. Me. Then again, it's not like she even cared for me to begin with, so she probably doesn't even know what happened to me after I ran away, I haven't seen or talked to her since so who knows.
So here I am living in one of the wettest cities in the US, with an average rainfall of 69 inches annually. In addition, this city just happens to be next to the Gulf of Mexico. Being a detective, I have to deal with all the cartels problems, the Terydri better known as the Enigsto clan has been giving me a headache lately and they may have been my first suspect for the case with the mauled body, but since going to Derek and finding out what happened, they are no longer in the running. Or maybe they are. Hmmm....oh well, another problem to deal with. But yeah that’s my life and throughout this story you’ll hear and read more about it but that’s for another chapter.
Present
Anyways I've had enough for today, I'll go head on back to the office.
"Stuart I'm clocking out for the day. I'll see you tomorrow. Oh, the report from forensics is on my desk" I said packing up my bag and grabbing my car keys. Near the door I hear Stuart say goodbye. Getting in my car and starting it up to head on home.
For some reason when driving away from downtown and no cars or sirens going off just seems so peaceful. I crave for this peacefulness after getting done with work since that's all about action, it's nice knowing that I moved somewhere quite and not have to bring the action home.
Now you're probably wondering since reading what like one chapter and a half of this story that she has got to have a better last name since she's a detective and all...well your correct and I guess I can thank my disappearance of a father for that... the names Panorama, Rin Panorama.
Till next time....
