Chapter 9 Niko's POV

1265 Words
She looked down, shame and embarrassment stained her very pretty too perfect features. I couldn't find it in me to calm down though I sucked my lip piercing into my mouth and then let it go as I shook my head and then ran my hands through my hair and gripped it tight. I had lost my head, I had barely touched her, and then she had practically vibrated in my arms as what I am guessing, well knew from her comment about not being allowed to touch herself, was her first o****m. " Sh*t " I hissed. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out another cigarette and cupped the flame, taking in a deep drag as it lit and sucked it through my teeth before blowing it out, no doubt looking feral as f*ck, crazed and wild. " What happened? Why do you hate him so much ? " She whispered. I looked down at her, staring at her. Narrowing my eyes, I took another drag. Blowing it out, I looked down to the floor , then back up at her through my lashes and laughed. Running my tongue over my bottom lip as I blew the smoke out. " He took something from me " I told her. I looked down at her body and how easy it would be for me to take something back from him. " I thought you would ask a different question" I mused as my eyes got stuck on hr n*****s, which were stiff peaks under her shirt. "What should I have asked ? " She stated, the robotic voice creeping back in. Glancing up at her again, I took another drag. " Do I still plan to kill you ? " I told her, my voice deep and sinful. Her back straightened, her eyes widened, and I saw her chest rise and fall more rapidly. Had she just bypassed that part ? Out of my rant, the part where I said I had planned to kill her. " Do you ? " She eventually asked. One corner of my lip curled up in a sinful smirk. I don't bother with the window this time. I just drop the cigarette on the floor and stub it out with my boot. Without another word, I turned and walked out of her room, leaving the door open. Walking out of the house, I keep walking until I reach the beach and the water's edge. Looking out at the endless water, I felt conflicted. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out a phone and ordered the housekeeper to place some things on tomorrow's shopping list, then tuck my phone back in my pocket. For over an hour, I stared out at the ruff sea and felt like it mirrored my own emotions, wild and unforgiving. Until my phone rang in my pocket, it almost felt like it had pulled me into a hypnotic state. Looking down, I saw it was Tarrick. Placing the phone to my ear after I hit the answer, I didn't speak, didn't need to. I wasn't one for hello and greetings. " The little lady has snuck out of her room after you left the door open and is currently sneaking out of the house on the west side. She triggered the pantry window alarm, boss she also took a knife with her ". My head looked in that direction. A slow grin pulling at my lips, maybe she did have some self-preservation. My angel with a knife running through the woods. What a tantalizing thought. " You want me to go get her ? " He asked. " No, I will hunt the little rabbit down " I told him, hanging up the phone. My mood shifted to one of twisted sick satisfaction. The west side was where the trees were at. A little game of fox chasing the rabbit sounded appealing right now. Not that she could go anywhere unless she was an avid swimmer. Even then there were no nearby islands, I made sure no ships passed close by either. There were secret escape plans if we ever came under attack, but to everyone else it just looked like the only way on and off was via the plane. No visible boats, nothing. I took off on a run. My feet ate up the sand easily. I run to this beach regularly. Running on sand for most was difficult. I made sure it became easy for me. I ran until my feet went from sand to dirt, and then I slowed down as I reached the west side. My eyes took in the surrounding area. I looked at the house and saw an open window in what is the pantry. She had snuck out of her room down the corridor through the kitchen and laundry room to the pantry. All the doors in the house are auto-locked, and you need your fingerprint to release the lock. Same to get in. Looking back towards the trees, I slowly made my way in and took the path that was direct from the window, keeping my movements slow and precise. To be good at what I do, I had to remove myself and my team away from being street thugs to more. I had put myself and my closest men through training led by vigilante undercover ex-special operatives. It cost me a pretty penny, and twelve months of grueling training. But I wanted the edge on my competition. We were more than just street thugs, we were more than just Don's and gangsters that had a gun in their hands and not much more. Don't get me wrong, most of my men were just that, hired gunmen. But around twenty to thirty of us were trained. I still remember the final test. The vigilante group that I hired to train us had set us a task after months of shadowing them on their jobs. They did the same with all my men that grew to the inner ranks of my organization, the ones I deem worthy of investing the cost of training in. Mine Nicks and Tarricks mission was to take down a Nigerian drug dealer hidden in the depths of the mountains. The trek there had been grueling and a mission in itself that would have killed most. We couldn't fly in or use vehicles, he had trackers for them sort of things. The only way in was on foot. It was him that gave me the idea of hiding away, buying this place. He had taken his to the extreme. He was guarded up to the fullest, we had to use all our intensive training and managed to take him out. I remember when I first approached them they had laughed at me, they saw a boy with anger issues and a vendetta and said I would get killed within a month. When they finally agreed and the motion still stands to whoever I send to them" if you die you die, no skin off our noses. If you place us in danger with stupidity and not following orders, we will place the bullet in your head ourselves" now I considered them friends and, in the end, they said they were wrong about me, and even offered me, Nick and Tarrick a life with them and their team. But one thing they were right about is I did have a vendetta , one I planned on settling. A c***k of something ahead of me brought me out of memories. The hunt was on !
