I was so calm and confident when I agreed for Gio to come to the house but, now he was standing there in front of him, I felt insecure again. What if he hates me for leaving? If I told him I knew he would try to stop me. Then there were the letters from Jaime threatening his life if I didn't willing Gio to him. I had to come come clean about everything.
Picking up the tray of drinks and snacks, I made my way back into the sitting room. Placing the tray on the table, I noticed that the only seat free was next to Gio. I smiled to myself but I couldn't sit that close to him right now, not until I have said what I had to say.
