I open my eyes, the torch light bouncing off the walls of the cavernous room I had just entered. I turn around slowly, facing the crack I had just teleported through. A phoenix sigil is emblazoned on the wall next to it, and I cover the sigil with my palm again, causing the crack to reshape into a large archway.
Wall sconces hold unlit torches, which I concentrate on, drawing from my energy the way Blair just taught me. They all erupt into flames, lighting the room up around me. A smile slowly spreads across my face as I look at round the room, taking in everything around me.
