Chapter 5 -Scenario

565 Words
Now, a bit about the scenario I created to bring the superhero atmosphere to the D&D table: It all started with a portal... A wormhole or I don't know what it was. As usual, it happened in the United States. After all, aliens and other supernatural beings always invade the U.S... Their problem! I don't know why people care so much about it! Would you like a zombie invasion to start right outside your door? But... Going back to the case, a portal opened. Strange creatures came out of it and started attacking people on the street. American soldiers quickly appeared and shot a bunch of creatures! Some time later, another portal opened, and other beings came out of it. These were more "humanoid" although they were very different from Earthlings. The soldiers didn't spare them and shot them too! An invader is an invader! No one is going to enter American soil and ruin the dream of the coolest country in the world... At least, that's what they think. In the end, those last guys who came through the portal weren't messing around. One of them wore a suit that seemed to be made of green dragon leather and invoked the fury of nature upon the soldiers. Another was the size of a child. The little one turned invisible and, like a ninja, took out one by one of the "G.I. Joes" in the best "Bat" style. There was also a beastly guy who looked like a mix of Legolas, Hawkeye, and Green Arrow, who brought a medieval weapon to a fight with machine guns! And he still beat the guys! Oh! I was forgetting the big guy! The tank of that group was a half-lizard, about 2.5 meters tall, who folded cars like they were paper... And threw tanks from side to side... After that day, something strange happened to the world. Phenomena said to be magical began to be witnessed in various parts of the globe. Contact with alien technology was made, and people with extraordinary powers began to emerge... But I'll tell you more about that later! The superheroic world was born! You are in it, and it is constantly changing. If you have another preferred scenario, such as Marvel or DC, you can use this as a base and the rules detailed here to create your heroes and superhero team. Some examples of how your heroes can be represented in the world are as follows: Levels 1 to 4 - Heroic apprentices. You are a young group of superheroes like the X-Men (first class) or the Young Justice League. You are still learning to control the full extent of your superpowers. Levels 5 to 9 - Street heroes. You are the famous neighborhood friends. Easily recognized street heroes who beat up robbers and prevent urban crimes. Example: Defenders. Levels 10 to 14 - World-renowned. Your deeds have repercussions among nations. People almost all over the world love or hate you. Levels 15 to 19 - Universal level. You walk among the stars and are sometimes invited to missions on other planets. Level 20 or higher - Multiverse. In addition to possessing the science of the existence of a multiverse, you constantly act within it. This week you might face the Avengers, next week the Justice League, and next month who knows, the characters from Mortal Kombat, Alien, and Predator together!
