“Oh, nah. It’s not that serious yet, Luca Pearl.” I took my hand back and crossed my arms across my chest. “Suit yourself!” “Wait, wait, wait. You’re serious?” I shrugged. We were stopped at a light, and his head fell back onto the seat, and he closed his eyes. “Jeremiah.” “Jeremiah Boaz. I like it, but if you don’t, I won’t call you that.” His head jerked toward me, and he pierced me with one of his stares. My breath caught in my throat, and my heart raced. My eyes went down to the floor, but Boaz picked up my chin with the side of his pointer finger. The air in the car was electric. I looked into his eyes, mesmerized once again.
