Chapter 10The bed shifted, causing me to roll over onto my back. I squinted one eye open to see that it was still fairly dark outside, though the first sunrays were growing stronger, announcing daybreak.
Boaz’s cologne hit me, and a slow warmth spread over my body, a smile across my face.
“It’s early,” I whispered.
“Mmmhm.” Boaz gathered me to him and spooned me, but I couldn’t fall back asleep. I was distracted by his proximity, the beating of his heart, the slow breathing coming from his nostrils. My heart raced as he held me. Still, I lay there enjoying every second for another hour.
“Why did you come back so early?” I wondered aloud, trying to think of anything other than my hips fitting together with his. The sun was up now and the soft light in the room shone on his gorgeous face
