The mate of pain

Chapter 7

I found who I was looking for lying down in the sun in his wolf form. I trotted up to him and gently nudged him with my muzzle and his eyes snapped open and he looked at me. I whined ever so slightly and he knew that something was wrong, so he stood up and I sat down.

"What was it that you needed love?" he asked me, in a gentle tone, worry lacing his words. I took a deep breath and fought the tears that threatened to come out.

"I, Bella Rose, future Luna of the Bloodbane pack reject Alex Pine as my mate and future Alpha of the Bloodbane pack!" I wailed.

He looked pained, but seemed to understand what I needed.

"I Alex Pine, accept your rejection." with those words a loud snap filled the air and I felt a sharp pain in my stomach.

"I am going to tell you why I rejected you." I mumbled "It is not because I don't think that you wouldn't be a great alpha. I know that you would, it's just that you have been my best friend for as long as I can remember and I could never see you as more. I love you but not in that kind of way. I see you as my brother not lover." I said sadly.

"I understand, and no matter what I will always be there for you and nothing can get in the way of our friendship promise love." he stated matter a factually. I felt a sharp pain in my lower stomach, it was so bad that I fell over onto my side. I got up and ran to the pack house and sniffed out Dominic's scent. I could feel that Vixey was very upset about something. I got to his room and again I was hit with the same sharp pain I whined. I butted the door with my nose and it shuttered and fell and what I saw was the worst thing that I could picture. Dominic was pounding into Alie while she was moaning, he didn't seem to notice I yelped when he came into her. I saw that he had a vase in his room, so I broke it and shifted into my human form. I grabbed a piece of the vase.

"I am so sorry that I could never be enough for you but there is not point in living if I don't have a mate that loves me, but no matter what I have always loved you." I sobbed and Dominic whipped around to see me and guilt and anger burned in his eyes.

"Do whatever you want, but just know that I never loved you. I would only want you for your title. Alie should have been my mate!" He spat at me. I took the sharp edge of the glass down to my wrist and dug it deep into my skin, then with the little strength that I had left I switched hands and brought it down into my other wrist, while never leaving eye contact with Dominic.

Dominic pov.

Bella never flinched while she brought the sharp glass down onto her wrists. I squirmed because I could feel her pain but it was only about half of what she felt. My wolf Ace howled in pain at the fact that I had just hurt our mate. Within seconds after she cut her wrist, the blood pooled by her and she collapsed. I knew that I had f****d up and it was true that I loved her but she could never know that. I watched in horror as her eyes rolled back from all of the blood loss. I moved to go help her or just stop the bleeding, but Alie stopped me.

" She needs help she could die." I panicked because there was a lot of blood coming out of her.

"Let her die. Why would you need a b***h like her? You said yourself that I should have been your mate so what should it matter if she dies? If you mark me now then your wolf won't die and I will become Luna." She rambled on. I could see that Bell's lips were turning blue from the loss of blood. Again I went to go help Bella but Alie jumped on me. I fell to the floor and I howled in pain as I could feel Bella dying. I gave Ace control because I needed to help Bella. Ace happily took over and stood up with Alie clinging to him like a monkey.

"You are nothing but a toy to me. Bella is my true partner and no thanks to you and you threatened to blackmail me and my human, I had to f**k you, and that could cost me my mate. I can promise that if you don't let go of me you will be the gift that I bring the Moongoddess. So get off of me if you value your life."

"A-Ace is that you?" Alie asked him as she got off of him. He said nothing but picked up Bella and rushed to the pack doctor. Blood was dripping on the floor with every step. Please be OK Bella, I can't live without you.
