I walk around the city feeling hollow in the heart and not even bothering to see where I am going. I make it to my flat somehow, even if Thomas is not at home, and I am genuinely appreciative of everything! desire to be alone themselves.I enter my personal bedroom. Thank the goddess that Thomas's not at home. I have decided to break up with him, so sharing a bed would be difficult, but I would prefer not to do that tonight. I close my eyes, tired from the emergence of my inner wolf, and decide that my head has had enough drama for one day. Although we have not spoken yet, I have a feeling that we will soon. Her presence is palpable to me.
A few hours later, I wake up startled.
"You are a werewolf, oh my gosh!" Thomas bellows.
"You are really noisy." I sigh and wrap my blanket more tightly about me. It is no longer dark outside, but I have no idea how long I have been asleep.
Thomas sneers. It is almost eleven AM, dude.
"Moreover?" I give my eyes a quick blink before giving Thomas a fierce look as he approaches the window. With a quick movement, he pulls open the drapes, and I hiss at the sun and him. "Why did you act in that manner? Draw the curtain back!"
To my annoyance, Thomas ignores my words. He is actually grinning at me and appears to be very content. It is unbelievable that you are a werewolf. This offers too much to be real.
I mistakenly believed that you were a typical human, but in reality, you and I are both werewolves."
Hold on, what? Thomas, is he a werewolf? I take a whiff of the air to make sure, and sure enough, my guy is also a werewolf. Not that it makes a difference. I still have to end our relationship. He is not a villain. Despite having a tender heart, Thomas is genuinely a sweetheart—especially afterI have found my real love.
Even though Jeffrey turned me down, I still have Brenda for us. But I feel like a total b***h when I think about him. Among the goad anes is Thomas. However, I doubt he loves me, else he would be more open to going on dates. That may be a wonderful thing, but he never has time for me. He will not be upset if I break up with him if he does not care about me."Rykey, I have been thinking about "
"We have to go to my dad right away. You smell like a rogue, and I will not allow that. I am not sure why you have a slight Alpha scent to you. One of the wolf groups that rule this city will eat you alive if you are a rogue."
I raise an eyebrow. "This city is home to two wolf packs?"w
"Yes, and you ought to stand up," Thomas tosses me a garment and looks aside with enough grace. I am happy that we have not had any s****l relations.Put that on and enter the vehicle.
"The vehicle?
"Yeah, right." Thomas gives me a strange look, as if I am insane for being so bewildered at the moment. "In case you have not noticed, we have an emergency on our hands. Time is of the essence! Acceptance will be more difficult the longer you are without the pack. You may eventually lose it like the rest of the rogues.
Are you saying that I am going to lose my mind?
My eyes meet his blue ones. "Have you heard from your wolf yet?
Thomas sighs as I shake my head.
"I think she is confused, which is why. A wolf is lost without a pack, so we need to move quickly to include you in my pack. Put on those clothes, then! Be quick!" I hobble out of bed. "How do you know for sure that the Alpha will accept me?"
Thomas laughs at that, amused expressions dancing over his face as he looks at me. "Because my dad is the Alpha of my pack, and he will accept you with a little coaxing, despite the fact that he is the scariest Alpha in the nation and a little grouchy. Believe me."
Whoa, Thomass' father is the pack's alpha? That is... unexpected, Since Byker stated that there are two packs, it is likely that his father is the Alpha of the second pack as Jeffrey is not a possible father for Thomas. My friend did not seem old enough to be the father of an eighteen-year-old.
"Are you coming?"
"Avoid worrying!" Still struggling to get my ass into my jeans, I dash out into the hall. I do a little dance, and Thomas gives me a funny look.
He murmurs, "You are very cute," before grinning. "I know my dad will adore you."
I become agitated. Meeting Thomas's father is the last thing I want to do. Dammit, I am going to end our relationship soon! However, I also realise that I require a pack, so perhaps I made my judgement too quickly? My partner is not interested in me, and Thomas is cute.
I do not understand—this is the reason dating your flatmate and best friend is a poor choice. We are not a good fit, even if I do not want to hurt him.
I stuff my bad feelings down and give Thomas a grin as I put on my shoes.
Your dad will not likely approve of me.
I am not the kind of girl that parents typically like to see.
Thomas opens the door with a snort. "You foolish girl, you do not realise that yet. You have only ever dated me, and nobody else!" I follow him outside to his car, rolling my eyes. I can feel my inner wolf waking up as we drive past the city, ready to run through the woods and stretch her legs. It is not the right time, so I try to ignore her, but it is nearly impossible. I know I can not resist her for very long because she is getting stronger by the second.
Tonight, I might need to change my shape.
"Ah, at last, here we are!"
Thomas approaches the enormous home on the ~outskirts of the city, known as the pack house. I can feel eyes watching me from the shadows as we get out of the car. I wonder what kind of reception I will have from Byker father as I quiver with excitement and trepidation.
"You still have not asked him what his pack's name is." Inside my head, a voice says. It is my inner wolf, and I know it. But in a moment, her presence disappears.
I raise my gaze to Thomas, preparing to inquire about the name of his pack. Something! The building door is already opening, but I neglected to do sinee since everything that has transpired has left my head in a tangle.
A deep voice, menacing and uncannily similar, roars, "Thomas." Gazing at Jeffrey as he steps outside to stand on the porch, I hold my breath. His calculating, icy eyes lock with mine, and he growls. "Can you explain what this means?"
