“Hey, isn’t that Mrs. Parker?” someone recognized Anna at once, and Anna’s plans of staying incognito were crushed just like that. Whoever recognized her was either a friend of Melisa, or someone who had a crush on Liam because the hostility in her eyes couldn’t be justified otherwise. “And why was she riding an Uber?”
Was it a crime to ride an Uber now? Anna shook her head at their wild expectations and tried to block out their conversation. She knew nothing good would come out of a group of jealous women. How did she know they were jealous? It was written all over their faces.
“Who said rich people can’t ride an Uber? I ride one too,” a fine young lady stuck up for Anna. “Besides, she’s really beautiful. I like her.”
