Anna lay on the bed, unable to move a muscle; her eyes were heavy and wouldn’t open. There was darkness all around her, and everything was quiet… except the occasional beeping sounds particular to a hospital. A sharp pain radiated from the back of her head, and her head hurt like hell. Something was definitely wrong. But at least she knew she wasn’t dead yet. Dead people don’t feel pain… at least that’s what people say. The door creaked open and closed with a soft click.
