And suddenly—
Every instinct inside her screamed danger.
The gigantic beast stood beyond the destroyed gates, chains dragging behind its massive body while black smoke leaked from its mouth.
Its presence alone made weaker wolves collapse in fear.
Even Damon looked tense.
“What the hell is that thing?” Kael growled.
The Moon Priestess trembled violently.
“A Shadow Beast…” she whispered. “Created from forbidden dark magic.”
The monster took one heavy step forward.
BOOM.
The ground cracked beneath its claws.
Pack warriors immediately surrounded the Moon Hall.
But nobody attacked.
Because everyone could feel it.
This creature was far beyond ordinary.
Evelyn’s chest tightened painfully as the beast continued staring at her.
Like it recognized her.
Then the monster spoke again.
“Give… her… to me…”
Its voice sounded unnatural.
Broken.
Like several souls were screaming together.
Damon stepped forward instantly.
“You dare enter my territory and make demands?”
His Alpha aura exploded violently.
Power rippled through the territory.
Most wolves immediately lowered their heads.
But the Shadow Beast didn’t react at all.

It laughed.
A horrifying sound.
Then the chains around its neck began glowing red.
Lucien’s eyes narrowed sharply.
“Move.”
Before anyone could react—
The Lycan King disappeared.
BOOM!
The hall exploded outward as Lucien slammed directly into the Shadow Beast outside.
The impact shook the entire territory.
Trees shattered instantly.
Pack members screamed and ran for cover.
Evelyn stared in shock.
She couldn’t even see Lucien move.
The Shadow Beast roared furiously before throwing Lucien through three stone walls.
Kael grinned wildly.
“Now this is a fight.”
Without hesitation, he shifted into his giant black wolf form and charged forward.
Damon cursed before shifting as well.
Massive dark fur exploded around him as his Alpha wolf emerged.
Within seconds—
Three monsters clashed beneath the blood-red moon.
The sounds were terrifying.
Claws tearing flesh.
Bones cracking.
Roars shaking the forest.
Evelyn stood frozen near the broken entrance while warriors rushed civilians underground.
But she couldn’t move.
Because every time the Shadow Beast looked at her—
The strange mark on her arm burned hotter.
Cassian suddenly appeared beside her silently.
“You should not be watching this.”
Evelyn flinched.
“I didn’t even hear you move.”
The Vampire King’s eyes remained fixed on the battlefield.
“That creature was sent for you.”
Fear spread through her body.
“Why?”
Cassian looked at her carefully.
“Because something ancient is waking inside you.”
Before she could ask another question—
The Shadow Beast suddenly grabbed Kael’s wolf by the throat and slammed him into the ground.
BOOM!
Blood sprayed across the snow.
“Kael!” Evelyn screamed.
The giant black wolf growled painfully.
Damon attacked from behind immediately, sinking his claws into the beast’s back.
But the creature barely reacted.
Instead, black smoke burst from its body and wrapped around Damon instantly.
The Alpha let out a roar of agony.
Evelyn’s heart pounded violently.
They were losing.
Even the three Alphas together were struggling.
Lucien suddenly shouted, “Evelyn! Stay back!”
Too late.
The Shadow Beast turned toward her again.
Then it charged.
Everything happened too fast.
Warriors flew aside like broken dolls.
The ground shattered beneath the monster’s weight.
Its glowing claws reached toward Evelyn—
And something inside her snapped.
A terrifying pulse of purple energy exploded from her body.
BOOOOOOM!
Time itself seemed to freeze.
The Shadow Beast stopped inches away from her.
Its massive body trembled violently.
Everyone stared in shock.
Evelyn slowly lifted her glowing eyes toward the creature.
And for the first time—
The beast looked afraid.
The ancient female voice echoed powerfully inside Evelyn’s mind.
Kneel.
The word wasn’t spoken aloud.
But the Shadow Beast obeyed instantly.
The gigantic monster crashed onto its knees before her.

Even Lucien looked shocked now.

“Who sent you?”
The Shadow Beast trembled violently.

It answered.
“The White Fang Council…”
The Moon Priestess gasped loudly.
“No…”
Damon shifted back into human form immediately.
His face had gone pale.
Kael slowly stood bleeding beside him.
Lucien’s expression became darker than death itself.
Because the White Fang Council ruled the entire werewolf world.
And if they sent the beast…
That meant only one thing.
The people hunting Evelyn were not enemies.
They were werewolves.
