"I know that I'm not the best man out there for you, nor will I ever be," Blake started in a distracted tone. "And I'm sure that the good thing to do would be to let you go..."
"Why?" Maria cut in, her voice hoarse.
"I should probably leave you to enjoy a normal life," he paused, before continuing in a pained voice while looking at her, "instead..." he trailed off
"Are you having regrets?" She asked him, averting her eyes, silently begging the tears to go away.
"Not regrets, honey. I'm trying to give you a choice here," he explained hastily.
"Well, I chose to be here with you," she cried out, frustrated.
