The courtyard is a war zone. Elias's men came out of the dungeons swinging. Blades, chains, whatever they grabbed on the way out. Twenty wolves, maybe more, and they're not feral. They're angry. That's worse. Feral wolves you can predict. Angry ones have reasons. Rylan hits the first line like a battering ram. Black wolf, no hesitation. He takes two down before they even see him coming.
