Chapter 50 Draven’s POV The door slammed shut behind Zeraphine, her scent lingering in the air like a ghost refusing to leave. I stood frozen, staring at the empty doorway, my chest tight and my heart pounding. She heard it. She heard me call her no one. My hands curled into fists at my sides, the words replaying in my head, cruel and cutting. What possessed me to say that? I knew the second it left my mouth that I had made a terrible mistake.
