Chapter 70 Draven’s POV The cold air bit at my skin as I stepped outside, the sound of the celebration fading behind me. My eyes immediately sought her out. Zeraphine’s silhouette was illuminated by the faint glow of the moonlight as she walked toward the edge of the courtyard, the two little girls holding tightly to her hands. Kael growled in my mind, pacing restlessly. "Follow her. Don’t let her slip away." I didn’t need his insistence. My feet were already moving, driven by something I couldn’t name. The questions in my head were a storm I couldn’t quiet, and the sight of her retreating figure only fueled my need for answers. Why was she here? Why had she brought them?
