Chapter Two Malia stood at the edge of the forest, her gaze fixed on the sprawling landscape of Silver Moon in the distance. She adjusted the straps of her backpack, feeling the weight of her mission pressing down on her shoulders. The Silver Moon Pack awaited her, their secrets hidden within the heart of the city. Taking a deep breath, Malia stepped forward, her boots crunching softly against the fallen leaves. She had trained for this moment, honing her skills as a hunter, mastering the art of deception. But nothing could prepare her for the reality of what lay ahead. As she approached the outskirts of the city, Malia's senses heightened. Must be the serum doing it's thing She could feel the presence of the pack, their energy pulsating through the air like a silent call. With each step, her determination grew stronger. She would not fail in her mission, no matter the cost. Entering the city–it was more like a town but the term city had stuck to it because it had such a nice ring to it–Malia blended seamlessly into the bustling crowd, her eyes scanning the faces around her. She knew that among them lurked the members of the Silver Moon Pack, their true nature hidden beneath human façades. It didn't take long for Malia to locate her target—a small, nondescript café nestled in a corner of the city. She made her way inside, her heart pounding with anticipation. Someone is going to meet her here. This was where she would begin her infiltration, where she would gain access to the pack's inner circle. Taking a seat at a table near the back, Malia ordered a cup of coffee, her eyes never leaving the door. She waited, her senses alert for any sign of movement. And then he walked in but it was not the werewolf she was expecting but the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack himself. Max was tall and imposing, his presence commanding the attention of everyone in the room. Malia watched him closely, her heart racing with a mixture of fear and excitement. Max approached the counter, his eyes scanning the room before settling on Malia. For a moment, their gazes locked, and Malia felt a jolt of awareness shoot through her veins. She quickly averted her eyes, cursing herself for allowing such a reaction. But it was too late. Max had seen her, and there was no turning back now. As Max ordered his coffee, Malia studied him discreetly, taking note of every detail. He was powerful, that much was clear, but there was something else about him—an air of mystery that intrigued her. Once Max had his drink, he made his way over to Malia's table, his movements confident and assured. "Mind if I join you?" he asked, his voice smooth as velvet. Malia hesitated for a moment, weighing her options. But ultimately, she nodded, plastering on a smile as Max took a seat opposite her. "Name's Max," he said, extending a hand across the table. "Malia," she replied, shaking his hand firmly. "Nice to meet you." And so, the game began.
