LILITH The air grew heavier as I approached the ominous, crumbling stone structure hidden deep in the forest. My heart pounded against my chest, dread twisting my stomach as I forced myself to continue walking. The familiar chill of this place seeped into my bones, and a quaver ran through me. I’d been here many times, but each visit felt darker, more suffocating. More scary. I will never get used to it. A sharp, anguished scream broke the silence, followed by another. My steps faltered.
