EPISODE 16
The next morning, Max picked me up at 9am, just as he had promised. We drove to the beach, where we were going to take a surfing lesson together.
As we arrived at the beach, I could see that the waves were perfect for surfing. Max and I met our instructor, a friendly local named Kai, who showed us how to paddle and stand up on the board.
As we spent the morning surfing, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this holiday romance. I had come to Kauai looking for adventure and relaxation, but I had found so much more.
I had found a connection with someone special, someone who made me feel seen and heard. I had found a sense of belonging and happiness that I had never felt before.
As we finished our surfing lesson, Max turned to me and said, "I'm so proud of you, Emily. You're a natural surfer."

As we stood there, looking out at the ocean, Max turned to me and said, "I love you, Emily."
I smiled, feeling my heart swell with emotion. "I love you too, Max," I said.
As we stood there, looking into each other's eyes, Max leaned in and kissed me. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down my spine.
As we pulled away from each other, Max smiled and said, "I've been wanting to do that all day."
I smiled back at him, feeling happy and content. "I've been wanting you to do that all day," I said.
As we stood there, looking into each other's eyes, I knew that this was just the beginning of our romance. We had a whole lifetime of adventures, laughter, and love ahead of us, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held
