That evening, Max picked me up from my hotel and took me to a restaurant in Kapaa, a charming little town on the east coast of Kauai. The restaurant was called "The Fish Express," and it was famous for its fresh seafood and lively atmosphere.

As we sat down at our table, Max smiled and said, "I'm so glad you could make it tonight, Emily. I've been looking forward to this all day."
