How Can Anyone Love Her

Chapter 2

Sarah's mam arrived home around 5pm and made a start on their tea. Sarah ran up to her and hugged her and told what happened and that her wet clothes were in the washer.

Her mam told her not to worry and that she would sort it and told her to try her best to keep out of the way of her dad and sister for the rest of the evening.

When tea was done, it was sausage homemade chips and beans her mam called them all to the dinning room table ready to eat.

The conversation at the table was very little until her dad told the story about salt in his cup of tea. Sarah began to cry in fear that should would be smacked again.

Her dad was getting angry that Sarah was crying and her brother and sister put their heads down and continued to eat.

Sarah's mam put her cutlery down and went to give Sarah a hug. "Now, now sweetie, don't cry. your dad was just saying what had happened and he WONT punish you again for it." her mam said calming her down.

The rest of the meal was ate in silence and Sarah was glad of it. Her mam cleared the table and done the dishes, before she ran a bath for the kids.

Sarah and Craig where put in the bath together since they were only little. She enjoyed playing with her brother and laughing at he put the bubbles on his head and around his face to look like Santa.

When they were washed and ready to get out their dad came and got Craig to dry him and get his PJs on, then came back for Sarah whilst Claire got in the bath.

Sarah was getting dried off her dad and his was tickling her, which made her giggle and wriggle around. That's when her dad said "I much prefer it when your laughing and smiling. you're such a a beautiful girl and a good girl."

Sarah Sat up and hugged her dad and told him that she was sorry and that she wouldn't do it again. Her dad hugged her back and continued to dry and dress her ready for bed.

When it was bedtime Sarah asked if her dad could tuck her in tonight and he said he would with a smile on his face.

Craig was going upstairs with his favorite book for his mam to read to him and Claire was downstairs watching TV as she was aloud to stay up later than them with her being older.

Sarah was running upstairs and her dad was chasing her pretending to be a monster wanting to eat her. She was running that fast that she missed a step and fell hitting her head off the wall.

Blood starting running down her face and she cried. Her dad picked her up, carried her downstairs and sat her in the bench. He picked up a towel, wet it and began to clean her up.

He told her not to worry and that it was his fault for chasing her. After he cleaned her head and the bleeding had stopped he took her back into the sitting room and let her sit on his knee to watch TV.

Next thing Sarah knew she was being carried up to bed by her dad. He tucked her in and give her a kiss on her head. "Goodnight princess, see you tomorrow when I've finished work" her dad whispers to her.

Sarah rolled over in bed with a smile on her face and fell asleep straight away. Although today want the best day she had she felt happy and loved.
