Elara stood on the upper deck, the cool night wind whipping her long scarlet-red hair as she watched the lights of Istanbul fade into the distance. Her body still ached in the most delicious ways from the hours she and Kai had spent tangled together before they left. Every mark on her skin, every bruise from his grip, felt like a claim. She was no longer running alone. Strong arms slid around her waist from behind. Kai pulled her back against his chest, his large hand splaying possessively over her stomach. Even injured, his touch was commanding. His lips brushed the side of her neck, sending a fresh wave of heat through her body. “You’re thinking too much again,” he murmured, voice low and rough. His breath was warm against her ear. “I can feel it.” Elara leaned back into him, letting his strength hold her up. “How can I not? We just burned down half of Istanbul’s underworld. There will be consequences.” Kai’s hand slid lower, slipping under the hem of the oversized shirt she wore — one of his. His fingers traced the edge of her panties, teasing. “Then let me give you something better to think about,” he whispered. Before she could respond, he turned her in his arms and claimed her mouth in a deep, hungry kiss. There was no gentleness left in him tonight. Only raw need and the relief of still being alive. Elara moaned into his mouth, her fingers tangling in his dark hair as she pulled him closer. Kai lifted her effortlessly, her legs wrapping around his waist as he carried her down to the master cabin. The door barely closed before clothes were torn away. Kai laid her on the large bed, his steel-grey eyes dark with lust as he looked down at her naked body. “So f*****g beautiful,” he growled. “And all mine.” He didn’t wait. His mouth was on her instantly — sucking marks into her fair skin, licking down her stomach, spreading her thighs wide. When his tongue found her center, Elara cried out, back arching off the bed. He devoured her like a starving man, two thick fingers curling inside her while his mouth worked her c**t with ruthless precision. She came hard, screaming his name, fingers fisting the sheets. Kai moved up her body, eyes locked on hers as he pushed inside her in one powerful thrust. They both groaned at the feeling. He set a deep, punishing rhythm, hips snapping against hers, the sound of skin slapping skin filling the luxurious cabin. “Harder,” Elara gasped, nails raking down his back. Kai gave her exactly what she wanted. He f****d her like the world was ending — fast, deep, desperate. One hand gripped her hip hard enough to bruise, the other pinned her wrist above her head. Elara came again, clenching around him, pulling him over the edge with her. They shattered together, moaning each other’s names. But Kai wasn’t done. He flipped her onto her stomach, pulled her hips up, and took her from behind. This time it was slower, deeper, more possessive. His mouth on her shoulder, biting down gently. “Mine,” he growled against her skin. “Say it.” “Yours,” she moaned. “Only yours.” They came again, collapsing in a sweaty, breathless heap. For a long time, they just lay there, tangled together, hearts pounding in sync. Kai stroked her scarlet-red hair, his voice soft in the darkness. “I love you, Elara. I think I’ve loved you since the moment you looked me in the eyes with a gun to your head and offered me a deal instead of begging for your life.” Elara turned in his arms, green eyes shining with tears. “I love you too. So much it terrifies me.” They made love once more before dawn — slow, tender, full of whispered promises and soft touches. When they finally fell asleep, it was with Kai’s arm wrapped tightly around her, as if he could protect her even in his dreams. The next few days on the yacht were a strange kind of heaven. They sailed toward Greece, stopping at small, secluded islands when they needed to. During the day, they planned their new life — new names, new documents, a quiet villa in South America where no one would find them. At night, they lost themselves in each other. Kai couldn’t keep his hands off her. He took her on the deck under the stars. In the shower, with hot water cascading over them as he f****d her against the wall. On the dining table after dinner, her legs spread wide as he knelt between them. In the middle of the night, waking her with his mouth between her thighs until she was begging. Every time was different. Sometimes rough and desperate. Sometimes slow and emotional. But always intense. Always real. One afternoon, as the yacht anchored in a quiet cove, Kai pulled her onto his lap on the sun deck. The sun warmed their skin as he slid inside her, guiding her movements with his hands on her hips. “Look at me,” he commanded softly. Elara did, green eyes locked on steel-grey as she rode him slowly. The pleasure built gradually, beautifully, until they came together with soft moans and trembling bodies. Afterward, Kai held her close, stroking her back. “I want a real life with you,” he said quietly. “A house. Maybe kids one day. No more blood. No more running.” Elara’s heart swelled. “I want that too. With you.” But reality always found them. On the fifth day, Kai received an encrypted message from one of his last trusted contacts. The new syndicate leader wasn’t giving up. He had allies in Greece and South America. The bounty was now one hundred million dollars. And he had put a price on both their heads — dead or alive. Kai showed her the message, his jaw tight. “We’re not safe anywhere yet,” he said. “We need to disappear completely. New continent. New identities. No traces.” Elara nodded, determination burning in her eyes. “Then that’s what we do.” They made love that night with a new urgency — knowing the world was still hunting them. Kai took her hard against the railing under the stars, her cries lost in the wind. Then again in the bed, slow and deep, whispering promises of the future they would fight for. When they finally slept, tangled together, Elara prayed it would be enough. The yacht docked in a small Greek island at dawn. From there, a private flight would take them to South America. As they stood on the deck watching the sunrise, Kai pulled her into his arms. “No matter what happens,” he whispered, “I’m yours. In this life and the next.” Elara kissed him deeply. “And I’m yours.” The war wasn’t over. But for the first time, they had hope. And each other.
