Charlotte offered Matthew, her restaurant’s manager a satisfactory smile as he clapped his hands.
It had been an exhausting day for them all as the restaurant seemed filled with customers than usual. They all survived it though and were finally ready to retire for the day, Charlotte however, having other plans.
She had a date. With her boyfriend.
“Am I overreacting or do you not seem exhausted?” Matthew commented, staring at Charlotte with narrowed eyes. “You are smiling and definitely, I do not smile after an exhausting day at work.”
“You’re overreacting,” she laughed lightly at him, mentally thanking Wilson for getting the restaurant a manager as nice as him. Literally the whole staff were unproblematic, making Charlotte wonder if they were all special
