"You're hired!"
Charlotte bowed excitedly, mentally thanking Alice and her husband. She could have sworn she felt her heart take a break at beating ever since she served them all dinner and had to wait for them to take slow bites before passing their final reviews.
"Thank you," she smiled, rubbing her palms together excitedly. "Thank you so much!"
She turned to meet Wilson then smiled at him. A smile he returned quite easily. She had finally gotten a job and could slowly see her dream actualize and it was all thanks to him. All thanks to him.
"Honestly, I had a few doubts," Wilson's father said, taking another bite. "But all of that doubt disappeared the second I chewed your food. One really shouldn't judge a book by its cover. You're an amazing cook, congratulations."
