Thirteen messengers are dispatched at dawn, some on pony but most on foot. They spread the word across the kingdom and beyond of their departed sovereign and the ushering in of a new ruler. Every known settlement across the land receives the regurgitated announcement. Three very important knights don’t stop in any territory; they instead gallop as fast as their pony can carry them in three different directions towards the borders entering the other kingdoms. They stop for no one. Their duty is to inform the Trionaid officially of their power transition. But more importantly, the official declaration of their readiness to put forward a new Ard Ri.
