Mackenzie Bell sat in the driver’s seat and looked over at her new partner. Newly promoted Detective Amanda Visser was thrilled that her promotion to detective had come through. She was also glad she got to work with someone she already liked. This was her first week out of uniform, and she was smart enough to tread lightly.
Mac and Dan Felty had been partners and friends for several years, and Mac wasn’t taking Dan’s suspension well. Technically they were calling it paid administrative leave, but there was little difference.
