Chapter 29A window to the past
Ross kissed Maria goodbye after a good breakfast, feeling more relaxed than he had since the Joey Slimani case began. He'd soon be interviewing Graham Bull, but before beginning Bull's questioning, Ross felt he owed someone a phone call. After dialling the number, he was surprised when William, (Bill) Jennings answered Trixie Slimani's mobile phone.
“Mr. Jennings? It's Detective Inspector Ross. I need a word with Mrs. Slimani, if she's available.”
“Yeah, sure, Inspector. She's just woken up. I took her breakfast up ten minutes ago. She never takes her mobile to bed with her. Hold on and I'll take it up to her.”
