“Paul Ferris, I could bloody kiss you,” Ross smiled as he spoke.
“Er, no thanks, Boss,” Ferris laughed, holding his hands up in mock horror.
“Yeah, me too,” Drake added and rose from her seat, walked up to Ferris and landed a kiss on his cheek, before returning to her seat.
“That was from both of us,” she said and Paul Ferris grinned back at her.
At a team briefing held soon after Ferris had brought the latest information to Ross, the D.I. addressed a hastily convened gathering of his team.
