“Just what the f**k was all that about yesterday?” were Ross's first, angry words to Izzie Drake after he'd asked her to join him in his office early the next morning. She'd been expecting it, of course so his summons and instruction to close the door when she joined him came as no surprise to her. Walls were thin in the headquarters building so he deliberately refrained from blasting his friend and partner at full volume.
