CHAPTER 32 TUESDAY, JUNE 8, 2010 Helen closes The Baby Tree and glances at Emma, who’s just now fallen asleep. Her sweet round face is framed by her blonde curls and her head is nestled against her pillow. She could look at her daughter forever, but now it’s time to turn off the light and let Emma drift off into her dreams. The Baby Tree is one of Emma’s favorite books. Helen’s read it so many times she could probably recite it from memory. But Emma never tires of it. And so Helen reads it again and again.
