Tana’s interview with Frank Aiken was on her mind as she headed back to the office. No one had ever threatened her before, and she worried about what lay behind it. Did he mean it, she wondered, or was he just trying to scare her? But why? Was it because he had something to do with Emma’s disappearance? Her involvement with the subjects of her obituaries ended the moment she filed the copy. They were dead and she was done. But with Helen Mayfield, she knew it was far from over.
