CHAPTER 13 It was a perfect day at the beach. Somebody was sure to post it on i********:. Fat yellow sun riding a sea blue sky, waves churning surf into whipped cream, kids building castles in the sand. Tana was there too, along with Helen and Emma. They all wore bathing suits and sunglasses. Emma’s bathing suit was pink, and she wore matching pink sunglasses. Tana and Helen lay on red-and-white striped beach towels while Emma used a little yellow shovel to fill a blue bucket with sand. Tana smiled as she watched Emma, then closed her eyes. She could hear the soft roar of the sea rolling in from somewhere else. She knew they were at the beach, but she wasn’t sure which beach. Whose idea was it to go the beach, anyway?
