Dylan eased open the back door to the small house, after silently unlocking it. Punching in the security code, he closed the door behind him. It had been three weeks since he’d promised Mars he would be coming home. At that point, he thought he’d be visiting Mars at the clinic. Then, a few days ago, Mars told him elatedly, during one of their phone calls, he was finally being released. “Zavier’s putting me in one of our safehouses for the time being, and said he’ll have someone checking on me at least once a day. But damn, I’m finally free.” With his assignment successfully completed, Dylan flew into the city the next day.
