Janice, Jonah’s wife, greeted Dylan the moment he came into the house, asking how things had gone. He quickly assured her Jonah was fine—knowing that was her first concern. Then he gave her a blow-by-blow of what he knew about the events.
“You have to ask the others about how they dealt with the men Webb brought in as backup. I was only involved with him and his two enforcers.”
“No one was seriously hurt?” she asked with a worried frown.
“Not on our side that I could tell. Emmet got the worst of it, from the look of him, but he did take down the man he was dealing with.”
“What will the police do?”
“You probably have a better idea about that than I do. Surely Jonah knows the right people. Okay, that didn’t sound good.”
