The Alpha’s Silver Luna

Chapter 1

Once again there were problems with rogues and with lower packs. Being King Alpha was not as easy as everyone thinks it is. As I sort through more and more paperwork, my Beta, Nigel, comes through. “Damon, we finally have more information on Shadow Fang Pack.”

My eyes looked up from the paperwork in-front of me. Shadow Fang Pack used to be the second strongest pack and they still were, but under a new Alpha. Six years ago, Alpha Emilio led his people well and his Luna was known as kind and caring. They protected everyone and treated all with equality. My father had told me many stories about them. Alpha Emilio and my father were good friends. Along with other packs, to get money and keep our lifestyles carefree, they had a company called SF INC. that had many hotels, restaurants, resorts, shopping malls, casinos and such around the world. It was an international company, not as big as my company Royal Inc., but it was still very lucrative. Also yes, ‘Royal INC.’ is not the best name, but my great-great-great grandfather decided to come up with the name. My father wanted to change it, but my mother kept him from changing it. That was three years ago when they were still alive. Now at twenty-six, I had to take care of the people and lead them. I miss my parents dearly, but I have to keep strong for my people.

Getting back to Shadow Fang, Alpha Emilio’s younger brother, originally a Beta since his brother was Alpha, took over as the Alpha and things have gotten dark. They play dirty and after sending some of my men to watch over the place, they found out that Shadow Fang was using some of it’s pack members like slaves. I had to stop this.

I looked toward Nigel angrily, “Go ahead. What information have received?”

“As our spies have suspected, they are treating some of younger and weaker members as slaves. They even have pictures, but Alpha, I’m sure you don’t want to see these. I almost threw up when I saw what they do to some of these young wolves and pups,” my Beta softly said. He was a kind heart and kept me sane sometimes. He was older than me by four years and served under my father. Not as his Beta, but as a tracker. Most of my command worked under my father and at first I thought they weren’t going to take me seriously and kid around with my like before. However, after a fight against rogues, they saw my true power and anger. I was not that same young prince they knew me as.

Even with Nigel’s warning, I asked to see the papers. He handed them to me and my heart ached. My wolf, Rhys, ached as well. I let a growl slip and I could see Nigel moving backward. The pictures did not show the pups faces, but I just knew they were young. Some were probably Omegas who just started to shift. This kind of torture was no longer going to happen under my watch. I stood up and faced Nigel, “Get Irina, Victor, and Robin. Now,” I commended in my Alpha tone.

I couldn’t control my anger anymore and I threw the closest thing to me. I just happened to be a paper weight. Nigel ducked and responded, “Yes, Alpha,” then he quickly left the room.

Irina was his mate and my other Beta. While Victor and Robin were my third in commands or Deltas. As King Alpha, I had two Beta and two Deltas. It just so happened that they were all mated together. Some like, Victor and Robin, had worked under my father personally. They were both Delta born.

I tried to calm myself but my wolf had too much anger and there was nothing to calm us down.

Soon enough, the my four command wolves were in my office. I tried to control my anger as much as I could and started speaking, “As you know Shadow Fang has been a trouble for about six years. For the first three years they were quiet and not as outspoken as they are now. However since my father passed and I took over as King Alpha, they have seemed to act over even more. I cannot let this go on any further. We are going to do a check-up on them like other packs, but this pack will not get an advance on the fact that we are coming. No one must let them know. Am I clear?”

“Yes, Alpha,” they all responded quickly which means I guess I couldn’t control my anger as much as I thought.

“We will take some warriors and I want some sentinels as well. I don’t know what might happen, but I don’t want to take chances. On the way, Nigel will inform you on the situation and where to take caution. There are pups and young Omegas, ones who have barely started shifting, that are being tortured. If we can, I would like them to be taken to Royal Pack’s smaller packs so that they will not become rogues after this mess. We are taking down Shadow Fang. We leave in two hours,” I finished my briefing and the four moved on their way.

I gave them some time to be with each other and get ready. They were going into battle and wanted to have a little bit of time together. I may be an Alpha, but I’m not heartless. I could see the way each of them look at each other and both my wolf and I felt the need to find our mate. Many of the elders want me to choose a Queen Luna, but I kept telling them that I would only wait for my mate. I was the King Alpha, I had my choice and I wanted what was best for me the people. I just know that my Luna will win over the people. I just know it.
