CHAPTER NINE I let out a gasp as an invisible cold hand latched on to my wrist. The grip was bone-chilling, and the heavy breathing that rang in my ear made me let out a scream. Sheol had remained on the other side of the gates, and he now swooped from side to side. “Back in here! Quickly!” I wrestled with my invisible assailant at the same time I tried to drag myself back to the gates. Whoever, or whatever it was, had a hold of me that was strong, but not impossibly so. I also had the help of a sharp stone just outside the gate. My heel hit the rock and I tumbled backward, taking my assailant with me.
