Countless vampires snapped out of their terror, immediately charging towards the human on the opposite side. The human took a deep breath, gripping 'Constantine' in his right hand and slamming his left hand against the ground.
"Pierce!"
Countless mountain-like spikes erupted from the ground, shooting straight up, impaling any vampires that couldn't escape in time. But this was only a temporary hindrance; vampires' vitality was not so fragile. Being pierced by a mere stone was not enough to kill them. The faster vampires grew a pair of crimson blood wings from their backs, soaring into the air.
Members of the Setite clan were accomplished blood magicians, their spells requiring blood as a sacrifice but wielding immense power and range. This was precisely what humans dreaded the most—vampires were indeed far stronger than humans, at least most of them.
Facing the sky filled with vampires flapping their blood wings, each sprouting small horns and tails made of blood, their nails elongating under the influence of their blood magic, the humans knew they were dealing with formidable opponents. These vampires were not only skilled blood magicians, but also formidable in close combat. Dealing with such magically inclined vampires who were naturally adept at melee combat was one of the toughest challenges for humans.
There were hundreds of vampires here, and reinforcements would not arrive; they were being held back by hordes of zombies and werewolves. Had he succeeded in stopping the ritual by advancing alone? Yes, he had stopped the ritual, but Bloody Mary had still absorbed the Philosopher's Stone into her body. He had broken her neck like dry wood, but he didn't know if he had truly killed her. The fact remained that third-generation vampires were the strongest of their kind, possessing powers beyond even the divine. It was impossible for him to defeat her so easily.
"Roar~~~!"
A roar shook all the vampires off their feet, as the rotting corpse threw aside Pandragon's drained body. Bloody Mary had revived, fully and truly. She still emanated a repulsive stench of decay, but her body was already growing muscles and veins. Her recovery speed was unparalleled among any vampire he had ever seen. Watching her revive bit by bit, the human on the opposite side was powerless to stop her.
Bloody Mary stretched out her hand, grabbing a vampire by the neck without a word, sinking her fangs into its throat, and draining it in an instant. Both humans and vampires alike tried to flee, terrified by the sudden awakening of a Third-generation vampire who had been sealed for untold years. She was completely insane now, her thirst for blood consuming her, leaving her with little to no rationality. Her eyes were fixated solely on blood.
Yet, no one could move to escape. As the leader of the Setite clan and the founder of blood magic, Bloody Mary could control any blood. Anyone with blood flowing in their veins was not immune to her magic. And this was just the tip of the iceberg of her abilities. But even this basic power was enough to subjugate the hundreds of vampires and a hundred humans present, as their blood flowed uncontrollably, dragging their bodies into place.
The only one who could move freely was the human on the opposite side, protected by 'Constantine' from magic's control. Yet, the human hesitated. What would become of this world if a Third-generation vampire was fully revived?" Humanity is on the brink of extinction, and without the protection of the 'Camarilla,' we will have no chance of survival. But the legendary third-generation vampire, 'Bloody Mary,' is too powerful. Can a mere human like me truly have the strength to kill her?"
Bloody Mary paid no heed to the human across from her, preoccupied with biting into the nearest creature, be it vampire or human, unable to escape her sharp fangs as long as there was blood to feed on. They were torn apart at the throat, their blood drained completely, leaving only a drop to keep the vampire alive but deprived of almost all mobility and consciousness.
That last drop of blood was the strongest curse, one even a Third-generation vampire could not undo. Both humans and vampires bore this ultimate curse. Extracting the very last drop of blood from a human or vampire would turn the drinker into a stone statue, forever entrapped in slumber.
As Bloody Mary continued to feast on the surrounding blood, the human across from her finally made up his mind. Regardless of the outcome, the only weapon capable of combating a Third-generation vampire was the 'Constantine' in his hand. Other weapons could neither pierce nor even scratch her skin. The extent of Bloody Mary's strength remained unknown, but her thirst for blood was enough to wipe out all humanity.
Moreover, every Third-generation vampire was a butcher, responsible for countless massacres. She could not be allowed to fully revive; this confrontation must end here. Whatever the result, abandoning the chance to kill Bloody Mary now would mean condemning all humanity to extinction.
"Bloody Mary, go back to your coffin!" The human charged towards her with reckless abandon.
Still savoring the taste of blood, Bloody Mary ignored the human approach. But as 'Constantine' swung down towards her head, she suddenly raised her arm to block the attack.
Blood trickled slowly from the wound on Bloody Mary's wrist, dripping onto her rotting scalp, which began to regenerate, absorbing every drop without waste. To the human's surprise, 'Constantine' failed to activate its 'Blood Sucking' ability. This was a power of Constantine; with a mere touch, it would drain all the blood from a person or even a vampire. Why was it ineffective against Bloody Mary?
Bloody Mary's right hand stretched out slowly, and the human, desperate to flee, found his body frozen in place. Constantine seemed to have betrayed him; of course, a vampire's artifact could not be trusted. But it wasn't betrayal; as a holy relic of the vampire clan, it would be treasonous for it to oppose a Third-generation vampire.
The human was at his wit's end. Bloody Mary, the Third-generation vampire, had fully revived, and humanity was on the verge of disappearing, of being extinguished...
