12 The atmosphere is tense. The numbness we feel cannot be washed away with a joke or smile, not that anyone can manage either. Anger and despair flirt, both wanting to overwhelm the other and take over our minds. There’s no doubt what camp Quell belongs to. She abandoned despair with her last cry.
