29 I wake and I’m soaked to the bone. It’s not nightmare-inducted sweat. It’s a chilling breeze that is blowing the mist from the waterfall in our direction. My body shakes in the cold. It’s dark but not the usual pitch black. The reflection of a light shimmers on the river. It looks like a spotlight. How long have we been sleeping? The stiffness in my neck and arms suggests quite a while. The others are lost in slumber. At least we’re alive. I switch on my comms. ‘Is everything okay?’ says Charles. ‘You haven’t moved from that position in some time.
